The booth + photographs
What you are actually renting.
01What does studio-style photo booth mean?+
A real camera, professional studio light, a full-size backdrop, and an attendant are arranged as an open portrait setup. There is no tiny enclosure, so groups fit and guests can see what is happening.
02What is an open-air photo booth?+
Open-air describes the physical layout: the camera and light face a backdrop without walls or curtains enclosing the guests. The format gives groups more space and keeps the booth visible to the party.
03Is this a webcam booth?+
No. The Awesome Photobooth is built around real photographic capture and controlled light, not a tablet or laptop camera wearing a party hat.
04Can large groups fit?+
Yes. The backdrop width and available floor area set the practical limit rather than the walls of a two-person box.
Prints + Pic-Time
Physical now. Edited digital later.
05Do guests get prints?+
Yes. Classic sessions make two 2×6 dye-sublimation strips, and printing is unlimited during active booth time.
06Can the print artwork be customized?+
Yes. Names, dates, event artwork, or approved company branding can be included while keeping the photographs large enough to enjoy.
07What happens to the digital files?+
Helena and Laurent edit exposure, color, and consistency after the event, then publish the collection in a polished Pic-Time gallery.
08What can guests do in Pic-Time?+
Guests can browse the finished event, download photographs, mark favorites, and order professional print products from the gallery.
09Why is there no email screen at the booth?+
Typing addresses slows the line and interrupts the party. We keep the event experience focused on photographs and prints, then handle digital delivery through the finished gallery.
Timing + package
How the hours work.
10How long does the booth run?+
The standard package includes up to four hours of active booth time plus a two-hour setup window.
11What is idle time?+
Idle time is a planned pause—often during dinner or speeches—when the booth stays installed but is not available to guests. It costs $50 per hour.
12Can we add more active time?+
Yes. Additional active booth time is $350 per hour.
13What does the standard package cost?+
The standard package starts at $1,350. Venue access, travel, unusual schedules, stairs, long carries, or outdoor requirements can affect the final quote.
14Is an attendant included?+
Yes. The attendant keeps props and guest flow organized, helps groups fit the frame, watches the printer, and handles the booth throughout active time.
Venue + logistics
What the room needs.
15How much space should we reserve?+
Plan for the backdrop, guest group, camera distance, professional light, printer, prop table, cable path, and a sensible line. We confirm the working footprint for your venue.
16What power does the booth need?+
The booth needs nearby standard power and a safe cable route. Share the proposed location and venue rules before event day.
17Can the booth work outdoors?+
Yes, when there is a firm weather plan, suitable cover, safe power, level ground, and protection for the camera, light, computer, and printer.
18Do stairs or long carries matter?+
Yes. Loading docks, elevators, stairs, parking restrictions, long carries, and limited access windows affect setup labor and timing.
19Where do you travel?+
We are based in San Francisco and serve Oakland, Berkeley, Marin, the Peninsula, San Jose, Napa, Sonoma, and the greater Bay Area. Share the venue for a specific answer.
